The WRC intends to hear all legacy cases by mid-2017 whilst at the same time improving the hearing and decision timescales for new complaints.
Increase the awareness and use of the Commission's mediation service.

Enhance communications so people are aware of the range of services on offer and to steer demand to the appropriate service.
The Joint Labour Committee for the Security Industry has published a draft version of an Employment Regulation Order which proposes to increase the national minimum hourly rate of pay for an experienced adult worker in the security industry from its current rate of €10.75 as follows:
From 1st April 2017 €11.05 per hour
From 1st April 2018 €11.35 per hour
From 1st April 2019 €11.65 per hour

Since 1st January 2017, emoluments arising from the public office as an elected member
of a local authority (i.e. Town, City and County Councillors) is insurable under Class S, unless the individual:
Is aged 66 years or over in which case PRSI Class M applies, or
Is a modified rate contributor in which case PRSI Class K applies
